Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026  ·  Effective: September 2026
The short version: AskMeBro uses AI to analyze products and help you compare prices. Our analysis is a starting point for research, not a guarantee — AI can be wrong, prices and links can change, and you're responsible for your own purchasing decisions. Be respectful in the community chat, don't abuse the service, and see our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.

1 Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and AskMeBro ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of askmebro.ai and any related apps (the "Service"). By creating an account, continuing as a guest, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2 Description of the Service

AskMeBro analyzes publicly available product information — reviews, ratings, seller data, and pricing — using artificial intelligence, and presents a summary, an authenticity assessment, price comparisons across retailers, and a "Buy" / "Caution" / "Skip" style verdict. AskMeBro also provides a community discussion feature attached to individual products.

AskMeBro is an independent research and comparison tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Apple, or any other retailer or brand referenced in our results, unless explicitly stated.

Usage limits. Free use of the Service (as a guest or a registered account) is subject to a daily limit on the number of product searches, which may differ between guest and registered accounts and may change at any time. We may offer a paid subscription tier with unlimited or higher usage limits in the future. We may also apply additional limits per IP address, device, or account to prevent abuse.

3 Accounts & Eligibility

Age. You must be at least 13 years old to use AskMeBro. If you are between 13 and 17, you may only use the Service with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

Account accuracy. If you register with an email and password or via Google Sign-In, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Guest accounts. Guest access, where enabled, lets you use core features without registering. Guest sessions are temporary and tied to your device/browser session; see our Privacy Policy for how guest data is retained.

One account per person. You may not create multiple accounts to evade bans, rate limits, or moderation decisions, or on behalf of anyone other than yourself.

4 AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Read this section carefully. AskMeBro's product summaries, authenticity scores, buyer insights, verdicts, prices, and images are generated by artificial intelligence models (including but not limited to models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google). AI-generated content can be incomplete, outdated, or simply wrong — including confidently stating incorrect facts ("hallucinating").

All content produced by the Service is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, legal, medical, safety, or professional advice of any kind. A "Buy," "Caution," or "Skip" verdict is an AI-generated opinion based on available data at the time of the search — it is not a guarantee of product quality, safety, authenticity, or value, and it is not a substitute for your own research and judgment.

You are solely responsible for any purchasing decision you make, whether or not it is based on information from AskMeBro. We are not responsible for losses, damages, or dissatisfaction arising from a purchase (or a decision not to purchase) made in reliance on our Service.

We may change which AI provider(s) generate this content at any time and without notice, and different searches may be processed by different providers.

6 User Content & Community Chat

AskMeBro includes a product-specific chat feature where users can post messages visible to other users viewing the same product. Anything you post there ("User Content") is visible to other AskMeBro users, along with a display name derived from your account.

You retain ownership of your User Content, but by posting it you grant AskMeBro a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute it within the Service for as long as it remains posted.

You are solely responsible for what you post. Do not share anything in chat that you would not want visible to other members of the public — this includes personal contact information, financial details, or anything defamatory, harassing, or illegal.

We use automated filtering to catch some categories of harmful content (spam, links, certain profanity), but we do not review every message before it is posted. We may, but are not obligated to, monitor, remove, or restrict access to User Content at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

Feedback. If you send us suggestions, comments, or feedback about the Service (including thumbs up/down ratings and comments on an analysis), you agree we may use them for any purpose, including improving the Service, without any obligation to compensate or credit you.

7 Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

We may investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates this section, including suspending or terminating their account and reporting conduct to law enforcement where appropriate.

9 Intellectual Property

The AskMeBro name, logo, website design, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service as intended, these Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property.

Product names, logos, and trademarks referenced in our analyses (e.g., retailer or brand names) belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only, under nominative fair use principles.

10 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF CONTENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or reliable. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

11 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASKMEBRO AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE — INCLUDING ANY PURCHASING DECISION MADE IN RELIANCE ON AN AI-GENERATED ANALYSIS, ANY THIRD-PARTY PRODUCT, SELLER, OR WEBSITE LINKED FROM THE SERVICE, OR ANY CONTENT POSTED BY ANOTHER USER IN CHAT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50). Since AskMeBro's core features are free to use, this cap will typically be $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

12 Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AskMeBro and its owners, employees, and contractors from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service, (b) your User Content, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any right of a third party.

13 Suspension & Termination

You may stop using the Service, or request deletion of your account, at any time via appcoteinc@gmail.com (see our Privacy Policy for details on account deletion).

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure for us, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 10, 11, 12, and 15) will survive.

14 Changes to the Service

We may add, change, or remove features of the Service, or discontinue the Service entirely, at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

15 Governing Law & Disputes

Placeholder — needs your input. The governing-law state/country and arbitration terms below are drafted in standard form but left generic. Fill in your actual state of incorporation or principal place of business, and have a licensed attorney confirm the dispute-resolution clause is enforceable where your users are located, before relying on this section.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE/COUNTRY TO BE CONFIRMED], without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at appcoteinc@gmail.com. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it will be resolved through binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. You and AskMeBro each waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

This arbitration clause may not be enforceable in all jurisdictions and does not apply where prohibited by law (for example, certain consumer-protection statutes in the EU/UK/California may limit or override it).

16 General Terms

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and AskMeBro regarding the Service, and supersede any prior agreements.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Force majeure. We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside our reasonable control, including outages of third-party services we depend on (such as our AI or hosting providers), internet disruptions, or acts of god.

Export & sanctions compliance. You represent that you are not located in, or a resident of, a country subject to a U.S. government embargo, and are not on any U.S. government restricted-party list. Some AI features may themselves be subject to export controls set by our underlying AI providers, which could affect availability in certain regions.

17 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users (for example, by email) at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of AskMeBro after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
